Delsand
refers to this as “LOST”. It is a simple periscope.
Use
it by setting the elevation to the same as the dish for the HD
2 inch OD model and to 30°
for the Std. 1-7/8 inch OD model. Then place it on the stand
in place of the dish.
Next calculate the
azimuth span needed to view the range of satellites the dish
is using. Use the azimuth from the setup menu as the half way
point. If the menu azimuth was 250 and span was 19 then the
lowest would be 240 and the highest would be 260, (19 divided
2, round to the next hole number, add and subtract from 250).
Check for any obstacles from
the lowest azimuth to the
largest.
