All multi satellite dishes need to adjust the reflector so that it can bounce the signal from the different satellites to the correct LNB. The angle changes from location to location and is displayed when you enter the zip code in the startup menu on the control unit. Dish Network refers to this as Skew while DirecTV calls it Tilt. 90° is the middle setting and indicates no skew or tilt. When looking at the back of the reflector the degrees increase to the right. Skew/Tilt is set to 90° on the dish and the mast’s Skew/Tilt gauge will be used on all dishes except for DiretTV HD Dish. The DirecTV HD Tilt gauge is used because of the weight of the dish and base. A strong enough gauge could not be built into the mast. |
